❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
GREAT
Where’s Peggy Moffitt?
Never saw stan getz dancing before haha
Steve Allen was indeed a genius in his own right in the music he often featured !!!
As always/ Flora Purim is a Brazilian Goddess and Stan Getz essentially put Bossa Nova on the map !!!
0:59 Stan loses it there!!!
Nine and a half minutes of musical heaven. One of the all-time great Getz / Barron performances.
What a band! Thanks to the French to appreciating this as important. Excellent recording quality for the time.
Bass solos are good for interview background. Sad. But the music is stratosphéric.
I love him ❤
...So ...magique❤🎶
My little story... I used to sing in disco funk house bands in the 70s, meaning full time work). One slow Monday night with a gig in the outskirts of Oakland, the band leader asked me if I would like to sit out a couple tunes so someone could sit in. So there was this sax player, they did a couple of jazz funk tunes and then he left. Later the band leader told me it was Stan Getz. (!!!) :) I'm a big Flora Purim fan also, saw here live a couple times in the 70s, very very far out. She and her musicians took Amazonian psychedelics and you could hear it in the music! :)
Whenever I speak about Stan Getz it’s always in the present. He never left.
roots of Flora's fame . Getz had been interested in samba for years .
Who's the dude on the skins
Geniusz saksofonu.
This is REAL artistry not just some guy running a bnch of meaningless chords and scale patterns!!
Beautiful rendition of this classic song.
Stan Getz and Bill Evans understood deeply Eça´s sentiments. Needless clues..
He’s laughing at how ridiculous it all is. They’re probably getting paid a good chunk of money but he knows it’s just background music for the models. She’s laughing at the absurdity, but his sound, his tenor saxophone sound for all time, comes through as always.
Sobre O Stan,nada se pode falar..mas é este pianista..que técnica é precisão..
The shutter sound effect ruins this…
WOW!! I did not know that this existed! Thank you!!
Great stuff 👏🏾👏🏾
Gorgeous, beautiful and extemporaneous ❤
This is ar pleasant suprise to find great cheers
i love that song.
Merci stan getz magique magnifique
Stan was one of my heroes growing up, one of the Four Brothers, so many good ideas aflow whenever he engaged.
I've never seen this. I'm a lifelong Flora fan. Thank you !
Well, those faces tell everything, especially Jack.
Great jazz.
What wonder, because of this great man! Thank you, sir.
Estasi 🔝🎵
...from out of nowhere, THIS !!!!!
Outstanding! Thanks for posting!
her pitch is very very good here
❤❤❤❤❤❤
No one can duplicate the beautiful sound of Getz the directions he takes his notes are so sweet and melodic. He gets so much out of one note. The bends, curves and slants he uses are completely unique and genius. I ask myself, Who would think of that expression on that phrase or note? I'm sure many artist were jealous of his creativity and talents.
Wow, the video starts with an improvisation on. "You'd Be So Nice to Come Home" too that is simoly amazing!
Getz and Flora - what a treat
Lisa simpson brought me here ,any more suggestions?🤍
Beautiful!
thanks for bringing the bossa to the world stan...what a lovely sound...
Man the rhythm section is on fire 🔥……….Lefuj
My dad was a jazz musician and Stan Getz was his hero. My dad had a photo of me as a baby that was actually signed by Stan Getz, wishing me a happy life. He had it in his wallet until the day he died. My mom gave it to me and I still have it to this day.
He was the best.
